Find out how the eXtra Moisturizing GLYQUIN ® XM can fade away your spots beautifully.

Do you have darkened areas of skin?

If so, you are not alone. Many people of all different ethnicities have melanin hyper-pigmentation. This common skin condition in which patches of skin become darker is due essentially to sun damage and occurs in different forms.

Age or Liver Spots - Solar lentigines: small brown patches found on the areas usually exposed to the sun (hands, face and chest).

Melasma or Choasma - Larger areas of darkened skin than age spots, appear on face or abdomen, and are frequently due to hormonal changes that occur during pregnancy (pregnancy mask) or by taking contraceptive pills.

Freckles - Small brown spots can appear anywhere on the body (face, arms, back and chest) and are a genetic characteristic.

Brown Spots - Resulting from skin diseases, injuries, burns or surgeries. These forms of darkened skin get pronounced when the skin is exposed to the sun: the body produces an excess amount of melanin, the pigment portion of your skin. The good news is that there is a medication that can fade away your spots…beautifully.

Ask your physician if GLYQUIN® XM is right for you.

What is GLYQUIN® XM?

GLYQUIN® XM is a non prescription cream designed to gradually “bleach” hyper-pigmented skin conditions. GLYQUIN® XM contains all the essential ingredients your skin needs to look most vibrant.

GLYQUIN® XM is the newest version of Glyquin. It has something extra.:

HYALURONIC ACID
This super- moisturizing ingredients was added to address an important new finding. A recent study shows that using moisturizers can help relieve the irritation that is sometimes associated with hydroquinone use.¹ This is why we say new GLYQUIN® XM, “Fades away the spots with extra moisture”. Hyaluronic acid — which is naturally found in human skin — is shown to diminish as we get older, which may cause visible signs of aging such as wrinkles.² Other than that, it’s the same Glyquin essential formulation that Doctors and patients have known and trusted for years.

How doe’s GLYQUIN® XM work?

GLYQUIN® XM is a combination of ingredients that are working with synergy to assure not only bleaching but also exfoliation, moisturizing, and broad spectrum sun protection to your skin.

4% Hydroquinone

Hydroquinone works by inhibiting the production of melanin, the pigment portion of skin. When too much melanin is produced — as a result of skin exposure, for example— this can lead to hyper-pigmentation or darkened patches of skin.

10% Glycolic acid

This fruit acid is a natural exfoliator. It helps the skin shed its outermost layer of cells more rapidly, diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This helps produce the results you want more rapidly, too. Other hydroquinone products may contain glycolic acid, but a lower percentage.

Vitamins C and E (L-ascorbic acid and tocopherol)

These two vitamins, which are often called “antioxidants,” help defend your skin against future damage caused by the sun, pollution, and other environmental toxins. They also help lessen the visible signs of aging.

Broad-spectrum sunscreens with SPF 15

You probably already know about the sun’s damaging effects on your skin. But do you know that the sun is a primary cause of hyper-pigmentation? That’s why GLYQUIN® XM contains a broad spectrum SPF 15 sun protection to protect your skin against both UVA and UVB rays. This is especially important to people who are using hydroquinone medications. After all why bother “bleaching” hyper-pigmented skin cells if you’re only going to re-pigment them through repeated sun exposure? Parsol 1789— contained in GLYQUIN® XM — helps prevent photo damage and premature aging of the skin³.

GLYQUIN® XM doesn’t contain the known allergen, sodium metabisulfite: an ingredient that is used to stabilize some other hydroquinone products. (GLYQUIN® XM is stabilized with L-ascorbic acid, which is vitamin C).

How GLYQUIN® XM is used?

Apply GLYQUIN® XM to the affected areas twice daily after you have washed and dried you skin, or as directed by you doctor. Be sure to rub the cream in well. If your doctor has recommended that you use additional skin care products, please wait 20 minutes before applying them. This will help ensure that the medication is properly absorbed and will not be rubbed off. Do not use this product if you have broken skin or open lesions in the affected areas.

Is GLYQUIN® XM just for the face?

You can use GLYQUIN® XM on your face, hands, chest, back… wherever you have patches of hyper-pigmented skin.

Will GLYQUIN® XM lighten my normal skin color?

It shouldn’t. The active ingredients in GLYQUIN® XM are absorbed more by those skin cells that are hyper-pigmented (or contain excess melanin) and less by those cells that have normal pigmentation. As a result, the “bleaching” of skin with normal pigmentation should be minimal.

Are there people who should not use GLYQUIN® XM?

People who have a history of sensitivity or allergy to any of the ingredients of GLYQUIN® XM should not use the product. Also, the safety of topical hydroquinone use during pregnancy or in children (12 years and under) has not been established. As a result, GLYQUIN® XM should only be used in pregnant women when recommended by a physician. It is also not known whether topical hydroquinone is absorbed or excreted in human milk. Therefore, caution is advised when used by a nursing mother.

When can I expect to see results?

Just as it took a while for your skin to become discolored, it’s going to take some time before these discolored areas begin to fade. Result times vary from person to person. However, most patients can expect to see their discoloration fade in 6 to 8 weeks when they use GLYQUIN® XM twice daily.

What else should I know about using GLYQUIN® XM?

GLYQUIN® XM is air and light sensitive; it can turn brownish over time. This doesn’t affect how it works. During treatment, you should apply GLYQUIN® XM to relatively small areas of the body at a time because you may experience temporary rending of the skin and a mild burning sensation. This redness doe’s not necessarily mean that the treatment should be stopped. If you have any concerns, talk to your physician. It is important to keep this product out of the reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, call you doctor or local poison control center immediately.

Doe’s it matter if my pharmacist gives me another hydroquinone cream instead of GLYQUIN® XM?

GLYQUIN® XM contains a unique combination of ingredients that are designed to more rapidly reduce any signs of hyper-pigmentation that you may have. Lower strength hydroquinones may not contain many of these ingredients and, therefore, may not achieve our GLYQUIN® XM essential results. This is why is so important that you specifically request GLYQUIN® XM, and make certain that it is what you get from your pharmacist.
